Senate Audio
This collection consists of links to digitized audio recordings of the North Carolina Senate daily legislative sessions from the North Carolina General Assembly. The original recordings are part of the Senate audio record series held at the State Archives of North Carolina and contain the official audio records of the chamber’s daily floor debates.
Listening copies of these materials are available at the Internet Archive and indexed in this online collection. Senate audio was originally recorded on audio cassette (1979–1980) and Dictaphone Veritrac tape (1993–2005). Digitization was supported by a Recordings at Risk grant from the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR). The grant program is made possible by funding from The Andrew W.
