Hoard of Control, which during the
past summer operated the Dunn Pro
duce Market, doing a cash business of
more than *100,000. The market
handles all kinds of agricultural
product*— particularly corn. beat»,
cucumbers, pepper, squash, and fruit*
and berries. It not only nerves as n
buying exchange for local fanners and
northern markets but aids the farmer
in better production.
The program of the Hoard of Con¬
trol, o|ierated by a group of aggressive
local businessmen, included for the
past year: a produce market, a better
cotton market, the eucouragement of
ea»h buying and the improvement and
surfacing of the Dunn-Ncaton Grove
road. In each of these four points

For several decades Dunn has been
known as the largest wagon cotton
market in the State. On.- entire block
in the heart of the city has been set
aside for the sale of cotton. During
the tot ton-marketing season this block
presents a lively scene, found only in
>mn. where "Cotton is King."
Around Dunn is the most fertile
farming lands to lie found in the entire
state. In recent years u great num-

at-home" program, which was so popu¬
