tty OLD TRIIllfli:
For a spring or early summer trip,
here’s a new place for you — as hand¬
some and appealing as they come. It
is Sea Level Inn. a beautiful 16-unit
place next door to the new Sea Level
Community Hospital in east Carteret
County, and in the heart of the Core
Sound country.
The rooms are large, Drcxel-furn-
ished. with tub-shower combinations,
roomy closets, twin dayette beds. Fach
room has two doors — the back one
opening on a terrace leading down to
i he water. The inn is on the edge pf
Nelson Bay. which connects with Core
Sound and has ample water for siz¬
able yachts. Boats are available for
fishermen, and the wading is fine for
children.
The back wall of each room is
made of full-length, floor-to-ceiling
windows and the door in the center.
The lobby is spacious, glass-walled
with a large fireplace. The small
dining room, backed by a modem kit¬
chen, serves excellent and abundant
meals.
This is good for families, honey-
mooners and fishermen. Also for those
wishing to get away for some reading,
work or rest. Quietness and comfort
prevail, and if you arc convalescing,
the hospital and staff are next door.
The visitor here is within 3 miles
of Atlantic, with its fishing guides and
boats. On the way (20 miles from
Beaufort) he passes through the little
sound-side and riverside communities
of Carteret.
So from here he can do a lot of
exploring — to Cape Lookout and Core
Banks, just four miles away, or to Ocra-
coke, via the daily ferry. It is not far
to ride into Beaufort — a city of his¬

toric and architectural interest — or on
over to Morchead and Atlantic Beach
with their attractions.
A lot of people will find it a new
way to go to the ocean, eating and
sleeping at Sea Level, and enjoying
the central coast from this base. The
inn offers for the first time luxurious
and modern accommodations cast of
Morchead City. Rates arc very rea¬
sonable — the same or a little less than
the regular commercial accommo¬
dations inland, which is unusual for
resort-country facilities.

New In Carteret
If you do go down to Carteret Coun¬
ty this season — as so many will — you'll
find a new look in several other places.
The new bridge to Atlantic Beach has
a well-used look, and where the old
bridge was is just a lot of space and
water. On the causeway on the beach
side, commercial buildings arc going
