AX ACT TO PRETEXT THE SALK OF SPIRITUOUS LIQUORS WIT

IN
FIVE MILES OF RUTHERFORD SEMINARY.
Section 1. The General Assembly of A'orth Carolina do Prohibited.
enact. That no person within five miles of Rutherford Sem¬
inary. Burke County, shall sell or give spirituous liquors to
any student of said Seminary, without a written permit
from the President of the same.
Sec. 2. That if any person or persons shall violate the ti^ni,l,-T lor viola'
the provisions of this act, he, she or they shall be guilty of
a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined
not more than fifty dollars for each offence, and in default
of payment may he imprisoned not more than thirty days.
Sec. 3. This act shall be in force from and after its
ratification.
