Description: The majority of the papers, with the exception of early
deeds of Richard, Nathaniel, Joshfua, and John Byrd ( 1766-18U1) concern
James Hines, 'who moved from Wayne County to Institute Township,
Lenoir Co nty, in 1852. Hines was county treasurer (1859-1337) and
a trustee of Caswell Academy.
