EASLEY REAPPOINTS BADDOUR TO CLEAN WATER MANAGEMENT TRUST FUND RALEIGH - Gov. Mike Easley has reappointed former state Rep. Philip A. Baddour Jr. of Goldsboro to the North Carolina Clean Water Management Trust Fund Board of Trustees. Baddour is a senior partner in the law firm of Baddour, Parker and Hine. He served as a member of the N.C. House of Representatives from 1993 to 1994 and from 1997 to 2002. Baddour was Majority Leader of the House from 1999 to 2002. He serves on the UNC at Chapel Hill General Alumni Association Board of Directors and on the board for the Institute of Government Foundation. Baddour received his Bachelor’s degree in economics from UNC at Chapel Hill and is a graduate of UNC School of Law. The board provides funds to clean up pollution in the state’s surface waters and to protect and conserve those waters not yet polluted. It also allocates grant funds, develops grant criteria and guidelines, and acquires, exchanges and manages land. The board has 21 members, each serving a four-year term.
