Dear Mother And Dad,
Just a short note this time, before
I start in on my work again. I've sent
off the short story I did in Key West,
incidentally, after working it over
some here. I also did a short-short
which I'd had in mind, and another
short-short which I shopped to Larry
Hardiner -- not much chance on that
one because it has such limited appeal --
and another full length short story,
a murder story, which has Jamaican as
a locale. That means that, in addition
to the one I sent to Larry, my agent
has three of my short stories to work
with which is enough, providing, of
course, she likes them enough to try to
sell them. I've also given her some
leads on possible articles and may do
one or two while I'm here. But as of
now I'm concentrating again on the book.

me the information about indian foods.
any other things you can think of,
about their hunting, cooking eating,
homelife, habits, etc. will come in most
handy; so if you can remember other
items I'd certainly like to have them
shipped along.
Swimming still as wonderful as ever.
I haven't been spearfishing as yet, mainly
because I haven't been able to find a good
shaft in the stores and haven't had time
to go out and cut one. But when I do I
