H 465 (2015-2016) WOMEN AND CHILDREN'S PROTECTION ACT OF 2015. Filed Apr 1 2015, AN ACT TO ENACT THE
WOMEN AND CHILDREN'S PROTECTION ACT OF 2015.
Senate amendment makes the following changes to the 3rd edition.
Amends proposed GS 1 5A- 1 340. 1 6( 1 3a) concerning aggravated factors for criminal offenses providing that it is an
aggravating factor when a defendant commits a violent offense and knew or reasonably should have known that a
person under the age of 1 8 who was not involved in the commission of the offense was in a position to see or hear the
offense (previously, the aggravating factor applied to persons under the age of 16).

Amends GS 1 13-291 ,4(j), as enacted in this act, to direct the Wildlife Resources Commission to prohibit using dogs to
hunt foxes during the period from March 1 5 through July 1 5 (was, from April 1 through August 1 ) in Bladen Lakes
State Forest Game Land.
