SCHOOL FUNDING FORMULAS.
Appropriates $7.9 million in recurring funds for 2008-09 from the General Fund to the Department of Public
Instruction to increase funding for mentoring services. Allocates funds to the local school administrative units
based on the number of employees who (1) are paid with state, federal, and local funds; and (2) are teachers paid
