"Commemorating the bicentenary anniversary of the Cumberland County
Association, signers of the Liberty Point Resolves, of June 20, 1775. " Declares
June 20, 1975 statewide day of celebration to be known as "Liberty Point Resolves
Day." Requires text of resolution to be "gazetted" in Fayetteville Observer and
Fayetteville Times.
H 1162 Bomb threat penalty raised

"To increase the criminal penalties for bomb threats.” Amends GS 14-69.1
(knowingly making false report concerning presence of destructive device) to raise
penalty from general misdemeanor (two years and /or fine) to felony with punishment
for first offense of fine and at least five years imprisonment; for second offense,
imprisonment for ten years (apparently maximum). Prohibits prayer for judgment
continued, suspension of sentence or probation for person convicted of offense.
Applicable to offenses committed after ratification.

"To postpone the effective date of Chapter 1286 of the 1975 Cession Laws
to September 1, 1975." Amends indicated session law to change its effective date
from July 1, 1975 to September 1, 1975 (act generally concerns pretrial criminal
procedure, repeals many sections of GS Ch. 15 and enac.s new Ch. 15A) .

"To allow mobile home lighting equipment to be designated by the Commissioner
of Motor Vehicles." Adds new GS 20-129.2 to require Comm'r of Motor Vehicles to
designate lighting equipment required for house trailers, mobile homes, modular
homes, or structural components of any of those. Effective, July 1,-1975.
