NUMBER, — SO DO COUNTY LIBRARY
B00S8,
During the past three years, Z have talked with a number of
teachers, patrons, and pupils of every school in the county, and I
have never yet heard any people say that their school had all the
library books they needed, But, In many instances, they do say that
they do qgt have many books in the school libraries, and that they
are so glad we have a oounty book collection from which they can
borrow books to use with their units on history, geography, etc,
.hen the Tar Heel school was burned, their library books
were burned, too, Money was appropriated to rebuild the school —
but was money appropriated to rofBAM the library books, so impor¬
tant to a school ? I do not think so, (Of course, they have lad
some new books.) ufoet has been the result ? For the past three
years the boys and girls in Tar Reel have needed and wanted more
library books than they could find on their shelves - BUT THEY
