EASLEY APPOINTS BALDWIN TO THE NORTH CAROLINA VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION COUNCIL RALEIGH - Gov. Mike Easley has appointed Deborah C. Baldwin of Burlington to the North Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Council. Baldwin serves as chairman of the Statewide Independent Living Council and is a member of the Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities in Alamance County. She has also served as a court advocate and case manager for Family Services of Davidson County. Baldwin received her associate’s degree in paralegal technology from Davidson Community College and her bachelor’s degree in sociology and anthropology from Guilford Technical Community College. The Vocational Rehabilitation Council reviews, analyzes and advises the Department of Health and Human Services regarding its performance of responsibilities under Title I of the Rehabilitation Act Amendments of 1992.
