Fourth in the Nation! Lady
Cobras Win Two in Utica, NY.
CCC&TTs Lady Cobras travelled to Utica, NY for the
NJ CAA National Tournament on March 13. With college
administrators, coaches, parents and fans in tow, the
team set out for the 15 hour journey to face some of the
toughest teams in the nation. First up, CCC&TI took on
the Lady Rams of Anoka Ramsey Cbmmunity Cbllege in
Minnesota Anoka Ramsey, boasting a five- time National
Championship program, brought a team fresh from
13 straight wins. The team proved a tough opponent for
the Lady Cobras. Down 16 at the half, the Lady Cbbras
battled back to within 5. However, the effort was not
enough and the fourth ranked Lady Rams pulled away
for a 63 to 47 win. Leading scorers for the game were
Camil Fletcher with 20 points, Candi Taylor with 10 and
Tia Corpening with 16. Anoka Ramsey went on to win the
National Championship on Saturday.
On Friday, CCC&TI 's Lady Cobras took on Holyoke
Cbmmunity College out of Massachusetts. Fired up after
a disappointing loss on Thursday, the Lady Cobras came
back with a vengeance and defeated the team 71 to 53.
Leading scorers for the game were Camil Fletcher with
25 points, Candi Taylor with 17, Kara Hawkins with 13
points and Tia Cbrpening with 10 .
Saturday,

took on New J erseys Brookdale
Cbmmunity Cbllege and with their impressive 86 to 39
victory secured their national fouth place finish. Leading
scorers for the final game were Camil Fletcher with 24
points, Kara Hawkins with 19, Ha Corpening with 15,
J essica Shuford and Candi Taylor, each with 12.
"It has been a tremendous season for these ladies, our
coaches and the entire college and community," said
Head Coach Mike Hainrihar. 'These ladies are the
definition of TEAM."
Among other highlights, CCC&ITs Camil Fletcher was
named to the National All- Tournament Team. In

A plaque was presented to Coach Hainrihar at the
Women's National Championship Banquet
Congratulations to the Lady Cobras, Head Coach Mike
Hainrihar and Assistant Cbaches Allen Haynes and J ulie
Parsons.
