her brother, sold to WILLIAM HADNOT, for 65 pounds, one-half of
649 acres on the N
side of New River, beginning at upper

which half or 320 seres was granted
to CHARLES HARRISON of Hanover County, N. C. 20 Feb. 1735, end
as heir to William Whitehurst by descent and he dying, it fell to
Goldsmith Whitehurst his brother, and the said Goldsmith, also
dying intestate, the land fell to his two sisters surviving,
Jane wife of said Walton ar.d Elizabeth wife of Thomas Hewitt.
JOHN SIMPSON and ANN his wife, who was relict of GOLDSMITH WHIIEHURS
deceased, for 5 pounds renounce all their right in the 320 acres to
said William Hadnot, Dec. 2, 1755 (sic).
