Description

Oral history interview with Harry Percy Richardson Jr. (b. 1943), who grew up on the Halifax County side of Littleton, North Carolina. Richardson describes his childhood in Littleton and discusses his family’s local legacies. He includes details about his education and career while also talking about how the small town has changed over time. This interview was conducted by Stephanie Mills Trice on June 27, 2024. The Oral History collection contains interviews conducted and acquired by the Oral History Unit of the State Archives of North Carolina. This unit seeks to work with individuals and communities across the state to record and preserve the lived experience of North Carolinians, as told by North Carolinians and to make these histories accessible for generations to come.
