STATE UNIVERSITY’S NEW CHANCELLOR “James Oblinger has been serving the university with distinction for nearly two decades and is well qualified to lead the institution in the 21st century. As provost and executive vice chancellor, he has overseen academic and faculty programs and helped make N.C. State a national leader. Mr. Oblinger also brings a wealth of knowledge from his previous post as dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and understands the vital importance of agriculture, biotechnology and protecting our natural resources.
