EASLEY REAPPOINTS PIERCE TO THE BOARD OF SANITATION EXAMINERS RALEIGH - Gov. Mike Easley has reappointed Terry L. Pierce of Raleigh to the North Carolina State Board of Sanitation Examiners. Pierce is the environmental health director for the Division of Environmental Health, Department of Environmental and Natural Resources. He is a member of the National Environmental Health Association, N.C. Public Health Association and American Water Works Association. Pierce received his Bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and his Master’s degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Board of Sanitarian Examiners was created to safeguard life, health and the environment by registering qualified people to practice as sanitarians.
