Mike Easley reappointed Cara Faulkner of Raleigh to the Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners. Faulkner is a teacher and varsity boys’ tennis coach at Southeast Raleigh High School. She is also an instructor for the Wake Ed Partnership Summer Teacher Technology Institute. Faulkner has taught swimming lessons and has coached youth soccer for the Rainbow Soccer league. She received her bachelor’s degree in history in 1999, as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, and her master’s degree in teaching in 2000 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners affects the state’s public health, safety and welfare. The licensure of the practice of athletic trainer sendees is necessary to ensure minimum standards of competency and to provide the public with safe athletic trainer services.
