S 41 Pathologist same as med examiner GS 130
Introducer: Jemigan Sent to Human Resources
"To amend G.S. 130-200 with respect to the status of pathologist. "
Amends GS 130-200 to provide that pathologist designated by Sec'y of Human
Resources to perform autopsy to have "same status" as medical examiner appointed
under GS Ch. 130, Art. 21, "Postmortem Medicolegal Examinations" (apparently
would give pathologist's report same status as evidence, would require
pathologist's approval to embalm body).
S 42 Domestic corporation residence GS 1
Introducer: Davis Sent to Judiciary 2
"To amend G.S. 1-79 relating to the residence of domestic corporations . "
Amends GS 1-79 to provide that for purposes of law suits residence of domestic
corporation to be (a) where registered or principal office of corporation located
(now, where registered office is located, where corporation maintains principal
place of business, or where corporation regularly engages in business), or (b)
where corporation maintains place of business from or at which it regularly
carries on business (now, for corporation formed before July 1, 1957, where
articles of incorporation or legislative charter say principal office is if
corporation does not have registered office in state) . (Bill apparently
clarifies present law but makes no substantive changes.)
