The North Carolina Digital Collections contain over 90,000 historic and recent photographs, state government publications, manuscripts, and other resources on topics related to North Carolina. The Collections are free and full-text searchable, and bring together content from the State Archives of North Carolina and the State Library of North Carolina.

Copyright and Use Restrictions

The materials included in the North Carolina Digital Collections are made available for use in research, teaching, and private study, pursuant to U.S. Copyright law. Each item in the collections has a rights statement included in its description, which identifies any restrictions on use. The user assumes full responsibility for any use of the materials, including but not limited to, infringement of copyright and publication rights of reproduced materials.

Unless otherwise stipulated in the rights statement, we request that reuse of any item carry a credit line stating "Courtesy of the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources."
