Brooks Family Bible Records

1756-1945

              This is the Bible Record of Rev. WILLIAM BROOKS and MARTHA FOREMAN, the daughter
of JOSHUA FOREMAN and REBECCA MARTIN, his wife of Hyde County. William is the
son of STEPHEN BROOKS and MARY FARROW, his wife of Hyde County 1797. It appears
to have been copied by SAMUEL SHELDON BROOKS and wife PENELOPE SWINDELL, daughter
of HARDY and DIANA SWINDELL from the original. The STEPHEN BROOKS and MARY FARROW
Bible was willed to JACOB WEST BROOKS of JOHNSTON COUNTY. The whereabouts of
William's Bible is not known. This Bible is in the possession of Mrs. Beatrice
Credle Williams, Swanquarter, N.C.
