GENEALOGICAL MATERIAL IN THE NORTH CAROLINA STATE LIBRARY CONTINUED PROM THE BIENNIAL REPORT FOR 1026-1028; 1034-1086; !0;^6- 10:58 14 Biennial Report of the INTRODUCTION The genealogical material in the State Library is always available to the researchers. Besides the material in the library the North Carolina Historical Commission has many original marriage bonds, deeds, wills, etc., from the various counties of the State. The Land Grant Office now housed in the same building with the library has in its possession the land grants from the counties. The beginning of this bibliography may be found in the biennial reports for 1926-1928; 1934-1936; 1936-1938. The staff of the State Library is small. We render all assistance we can but do not engage in private researches. We, however, are always glad to refer our patrons to some competent genealogists who will gladly do the work for them at a reasonable rate. State Library 15 GENERAL Browning, C. H., ed. H., ed.
