Exterior front view of the Railroad House Museum. Built in 1872, the Railroad House was originally built as a home for the first depot agent of the Raleigh and Augusta Airline Railroad, William Thomas Tucker, who served Sanford’s first mayor as well.; Tucker's wife, Inder Virginia Squires Tucker, ran an academy from the house, too. |
