Original of this chart said to have been brought from Ireland by Johnston B. Jones. Was in possession of family in Charleston, S. C. in early forties. Many years afterwards given to Helen de B.Wills. Enlarged by data collected through years of correspondance and research by Fanny de B. Whitaker.
Rowland Taylor, D.D.
Born 1509. Rector of Hadleigh Co. Suffolk. Descended from Taylor family which held for many generations an estate called Frampton in the Co. Gloucestershire. He suffered martyrdom in the region of Queen Mary, on Oldham Common where there is at present a monument to his memory. See Fox's Book of Martyrs. Arms: Ermine on a chief indented. sa escalops or_

Joanna Brydges (2)
of Mandinam in the parish of Hanguedor, Carmarthan. She was a natural daughter of Charles I. Her Mother was reputed to be of the Brydges family, Co. Kent, by a collateral branch.

Solicitor General of NC. Was born at Ireland Aug 12. 1762. died Aug 8 1841. Come to America 1783.
Married June 20 1790. Daughter of Peter Mallett who was born 1744 d. 1805. Member Com. of Safety 1775 and Eunice Curtis who died at Pittsboro 1837. After death of Eunice Peter married 'pretty Sally Mumford.' One of their children was the Peter J. Mallett who marrie dEllen madeline de Berniere. Another son was Charles Peter, father of the late Dr. Wm. Mallett of Chapel Hill. Charles Peter was also twice married and another son of his was Charles Beattie Mallett of Fayetteville, N.C. who was father of Carrie Maggie and Alice Mallett. He also was twice married.
