In 1862, a little girl wa born in

In the ummel' of her twelfth Year, a school for colored people,
" and taught by a colored woman, was opened in the town. Anna
attended. The next year, he pas ed an examination of the
County School Commissioner and wa given a school to teach.
In September, she went to Atlanta University. An oppqrtUllity
wa given her to work out half of her expenses. At the
end of six happy year, health and sight failed.
After being at home three months, a friend sent her to Boston.
She wa taken into a physician' family, cared for as one of its
member , and treated free of charge.
At the Y. W. C. A. he met Miss Kate G. Lamson. She
attend d the Girl ' High and Latin School two years. Was
graduated from Atlanta niversity in 1885.

of the Y. " . C. A. became re ponsible for salary.
. In 1886, the teacher was married to E. S. Richardson. The
A. M. . now has the chool under it care. Pupils are taught
the e ential of housekeeping. Mr. and Mrs. Richard on and
the chool stand for Christian home and virtuous living.
