              From its organization, wben it was known as the John A. Dix Industrial Scbool, until
June, 1908, the scbool was mainly supported by Mr. Alexander Van Rensselaer, of Pbiladelphia.
Mr. Van Rensselaer presented the scbool to the African Methodist Episcopal Zion
Cburcb in June, 1908. For two years it bas been known by its present title.

Additionally includes a biographical sketch of Abraham Lincoln and the texts of the Emancipation Proclamation and the Gettysburg Address.
