61 was developed through a joint effort of the U. S. Department of Educa-tion, the Marketing Education Resource Center, business and industry leaders, and marketing educators across the nation. The Curriculum Framework is divided into four foundational areas and seven marketing functions. The four foundations support the seven marketing functions.
