Taylor, and their successors, be and are hereby constituted a In >dy politic and corporate, by the name of the Female Benevolent Society of Newborn, and by that name shall have perpetual succession and a common seal, may >ue and be sued, acquire and transfer property, and pass all such by-laws and regulations for their own government as shall not be inconsistent with the constitution and laws of the State and the United States. Sec. 2. Beit further enacted. That this act shall be in force from and after its ratification. Beit enacted by the General Assembly of the State t& ahead. of Xorth- Carolina, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the county court of Jackson county, a majority of the justices of the peace being present, be em-powered and required to order the trustee of the county to pay to any person the sum of two dollars for each and every Wolf's scalp, or upon satisfactory evidence being produced that the applicant or the person for whom he applies did kill a "Wolf or Wolves in the county of Jackson.
