The Job Fair will serve as a point of contact for area employers and applicants from various rehabilitative services throughout the Wake County area. The Job Fair will be preceded by a 7:00 a.m. breakfast where employers and dignitaries will be greeted by Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker and have an opportunity to hear from members of the disability community. The Job Fair will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will continue until 12 noon. On Thursday (May 8), the Raleigh Mayor's Committee for Persons with Disabilities will host a workshop for applicants planning to attend the Job Fair. The workshop will touch on areas such as the proper way to complete an application and conduct an interview. The workshop will also be held at the Raleigh Civic and Convention Center and is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
