Description	Image and brief memorial biography of Henry Lawson Wyatt - first soldier killed in action in a pitched battle between infantry forces during the Civil War. The photograph and homage (printed on the back) of Wyatt were likely part of the dedication of a monument to his memory on the State Capital grounds (Union Square) in 1910. This item was scanned as part of the American Civil War Sesquicentennial commemoration at the North Carolina State Archives.
