Sec. 4. Sections 2 and 59 of Chapter 160 of the General Statutes of North Carolina to the extent that they conflict with this Act are hereSy repealed and all other laws or clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed. Sec. 5. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification. In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 7th day of April, 1955. H. B. 683 CHAPTER 500 AN ACT TO INCREASE THE TRAVEL ALLOWANCE FOR JURORS IN GATES COUNTY. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact: Section 1. In Gates County, all jurors in the Superior Court shall re-ceive a travel allowance of seven cents (7c) per mile for each trip to and from their respective residences for attendance upon court, such mileage to be figured over the usual route of public travel. Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed. Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact: Section 1. (a) Section 1 of Chapter 29 of the Session Laws of 1943 is hereby amended by striking out in line five of said Section the words, figure and symbols "five cents (5c)" and by inserting in lieu thereof the words, figure and symbols "seven cents (7c)". (b) Section 2 of Chapter 29 of the Session Laws of 1943 is hereby amended by striking out in line five of said Section the words, figure and symbols "five cents (5c)" and by inserting in lieu thereof the words, figure and symbols "seven cents (7c)". (c) Section 3 of Chapter 29 of the Session Laws of 1943 is hereby amended by striking out in lines three and five of said Section the words, figrures and symbols "five cents (5c)" and by inserting in lieu thereof the words, figures and symbols "seven cents (7c)".
