1957 — Session Laws Ch. 663 H. B. 727 CHAPTER 663 AN ACT AMENDING CHAPTER 596, SESSION LAWS OF 1949, RE-LATING TO THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF WALLACE SO AS TO EXTEND THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID TOWN AND TO EXTEND THE JURISDICTION OF THE PEACE OFFICERS OF SAID TOWN. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact: Section 1. That the corporate limits of the Town of Wallace as rede-fined and extended by the provisions of Section 3, Chapter 596, Session Laws of 1949, be and they are hereby further redefined and extended so as to include all of the area located within the following described perimeter boundaries; and from and after the effective date of this Act said area shall be a part of the Town of Wallace, viz: "BEGINNING at a stake in the eastern edge of East Railroad Street, and in the northern edge of the fifty-foot right-of-way of East Lanier Street, this same stake beginning corner being located North 76 degrees minutes East 100 feet from the center of the main line track at the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad; this same stake beginning corner also being located North 14 degrees minutes West 81.4 feet from the old northern corporate limits line of the Town of Wallace as shown on a map of the Town of Wallace prepared by B. A. Waldenmaier, C. E., in December, 1930; and from this beginning corner so located running thence as follows: "1. With the northern edge of East Lanier Street in an easterly direc-tion a distance of about fifty feet, more or less, to the old Fanny P. Boney property line; "2. Thence with the aforesaid old Fanny P. Boney property line in an easterly direction about 615 feet more or less, to a stake; "3. Thence with another old Fanny P. Boney property line, crossing U. S. Highway No. 117, in an easterly direction a total distance of 884 feet to an iron stake at the northeastern corner of Lot No. 1 of Tract No. 3 according to a map of a division of the Fanny P. Boney Estate as prepared by Blanchard and Vann, Surveyors, dated January 8, 1930; "4. Thence at right angles to the main line track of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad North 76 degrees minutes East about 600 feet more or less to a stake in the eastern edge of the 60-foot right-of-way of the old Teacheys Road; "5. Thence with the aforesaid eastern edge of the 60-foot right-of-way of the old Teacheys Road, parallel to the center of the pavement and 30 feet easterly at right angles therefrom in a general southerly direction partly with a curve, a distance of about 1800 feet, more or less, to a six-inch round concrete monument in the northern edge of East Cavenaugh Street Extended (this same six-inch round concrete monument corner being located North 76 degrees minutes East 3000.5 feet from the center of the main line track of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad) ; "6. Thence with the eastern edge of the 60-foot right-of-way of the old Teacheys Road South 11 degrees 5 minutes West 582.9 feet to another six-inch round concrete monument; 2i 591
