1862-'63.—Chap. 43-44. Gligible to the office of Commissioner, and entitled to vote in said election. Sec. 3. Be it further enacted^ That the commissioners of Taxes, said town shall not be allowed to tax any manufacturing establishment having capital to the amount of twenty thou-sand dollars i-nvested for manufacturing purposes. Sec. 4. Be it further enacted, That the town of Chesnut Limits. Hill shall be bounded as follows: beginning at a stake on William Murphy's land, running thence south 45° east 28.20 to a stake ; thence south 45° west 29.55 to a stake • thence north 45° west 26.86 chains to a stake ; thence north 37° east 15.00 chains to a stake ; thence north 51^° east 14.90 to the beginning. Sec. 5. Be itfurther enacted, Tliat the town of Chesnut Povrera. Hill is hereby vested with all the powers, rights, privileges and immunities enumerated in chap. Ill, Eevised Code, entitled "Towns." Sec. 6. Be it further enacted, That this act shall be in force from and after its ratification, {llatifed the 11th day of FeVy.,l^QZ.'\ AN ACT TO INCOEPOEATE THE TOWN OF DALLAS IN THE COUNTY (Jhf,^ 44 OF GASTON. Section 1. Be it enacted hy the General Assembly of the Body corpo. tStaie of NortJirCarolina, and it is hereby enacted by the ''"^®* autlioriiy of the same, That the town of Dallas, in the county of Gaston, is hereby incorporated into a body poli- * tic and corporate, by the name and style of the Commis-sioners of the Town of Dallas. Sec. 2.' Be it further enacted, Tliat it shall be lawful for Elections, the citizens of the said town of Dallas, at any time after the passage of this act, having given ten day's public notice of the day of election, to elect five commissioners of tlie town, who shaH hold their office forx)ne year or until their successors shall have been elected. Sko. 3. Be it furih%r &)iaclcd, That the town of DallaB is Powors. hereby vested with all the powers, rights, privileges and immunities, and subject to all the restrictions enumerated 4
