EASLEY APPOINTS ONE AND REAPPOINTS SIX TO EXECUTIVE MANSION FUND INC. BOARD OF DIRECTORS RALEIGH – Gov. Mike Easley has appointed Dennis Toney of Rutherfordton and reappointed Sarah Dagenhart of Charlotte, Sara Gambrell of Charlotte, Frances Gravely of Raleigh, David Hayworth of High Point, Thomas S. Kenan III of Chapel Hill and Mary Duke Biddle Trent Semans of Durham to the Executive Mansion Fund Inc. Board of Directors. Toney is a design and pattern maker for the Doncaster Division Custom Line at Tanner Companies. He is on the board of directors for the N.C. Chapter American Cut Glass Association and the Rutherford County Concerts Association. Toney attended Gardner Webb University, Converse College, N.C. State University and the Chicago School of Design. Dagenhart is a homemaker. She is active in the Charlotte Junior League and Myers Park Garden Club. Gambrell is director of 214 Belk department stores. She is on the board of directors for the N.C. Community Foundation Inc., Charlotte Museum of History and Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra. Gambrell received her bachelor’s degree from Sweet Briar College and her doctorate of humane letters from Johnson C. Smith University. Gravely is founder and vice president of VIETRI Inc. She is a member of the Chapel Hill Preservation Society, N.C. Museum of Art board of trustees and National Tabletop and Gift Association. Gravely received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Sweet Briar College and her master’s degree in instructional design from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Hayworth is the retired president and chief executive officer of Hayworth Industries. He serves on the High Point Community Foundation and the N.C. Museum of Art board of trustees. Hayworth is former chair of the High Point Regional Health Endowment Board and is a trustee for the Reynolds House Museum of American Art. Kenan is director of Flagler Systems Inc. He is trustee of the William R. Kenan Jr. Charitable Trust, director of the William R. Kenan Jr. Fund for the Arts, Engineering and Technology and Science, trustee for the Randleigh Foundation Trust, Thomas S. Kenan II Foundation and the Duke Endowment. Kenan received his bachelor’s degree in economics from UNC-CH and served in the U.S. Navy.
