organized under the ordinance to organize a temporary force for the preservation of law and or der will proceed immediately to enroll the names of all persous within the age of is and l.o subject to militia duty in each district ot their respective counties this enrollment will bc mode agreeably to tin districts iii each county as they existed immediately prior to the 80th day of may a i 1861 iii immediately after tho enrollment hereby ordered shall have boon completed the said officers of tho temporary force are further instructed and commanded to give puhlic written notice nt throe or four pub lic places in each district of their couuties commanding all persons enrolled ami tub j ot lo militia duty to assemble at a cer tain time and place near the centre of each district for the purpose of electing the douuniesioned ami nou-commissioned offi cera of the different companies which elec tion will be lii-ld as proscribed in revised code chapter 70 entitled militia there suit of the e elections shall then be com mitted to writing certified to and signed by said officers of the temporary force ami forwarded to tin-so headquarters on or be fore the tilh day of june next when the virtue of an ordinance of the late convention are hereby authorised to enrorthe militia according to the provisions of this act be it further enacted that this act shall bo in force from nnd after its ratification in general assembly rend three times and ratified this 12th day ot march a d 1 set signed 8 p phillips s h c c s instead 8 b ii pursuant to this act tho officer of the temporary force organized under the ordinance to organize a temporary force for the preservation of law and or der will proceed immediately to enroll the names of all persous within the age of is and l.o subject to militia duty in each district ot their respective counties this enrollment will bc mode agreeably to tin districts iii each county as they existed immediately prior to the 80th day of may a i 1861 iii immediately after tho enrollment hereby ordered shall have boon completed the said officers of tho temporary force are further instructed and commanded to give puhlic written notice nt throe or four pub lic places in each district of their couuties commanding all persons enrolled ami tub j ot lo militia duty to assemble at a cer tain time and place near the centre of each district for the purpose of electing the douuniesioned ami nou-commissioned offi cera of the different companies which elec tion will be lii-ld as proscribed in revised code chapter 70 entitled militia there suit of the e elections shall then be com mitted to writing certified to and signed by said officers of the temporary force ami forwarded to tin-so headquarters on or be fore the tilh day of june next when the ufficcrs elect will he commissioned by the ( oveni'.r ix the officers of lhe temporary force aforesaid are instructed in order to the more effectual and speedy execution ofthe provisions of this order
