mington i would presume it inuece'ssary to j aay any thing on the propriety of this altera tion in the terms of subscription ; tb others | however it may he proper to observe tiiat i tiie present expence of printing and circula ting the gazette is at the lowest cornputa • tion 120a i hilars a year exceeding by one third its original expence which must be paid in actual cash and to meet this demand there is u subscription of but 1s00 dollars from which may be deducted at least 25 per j cunt forbad debts — hence it is evident that i the present proceeds are unequal to tf*e • imbur-*ements to sustain the gazette on such ternri9 would be unwise in its proprie tor and could not be desired by its patrons i take this opportunity to acknowledge my i self indebted to those of my subscribers and | other cmstomers who have been punctual and i honest in llieir dealings ;
